Hi there! I'm Holly.
Art, I believe, is a vital yet underappreciated subject. I have always enjoyed art, ever since I was very young, and purchased my first set of oil paints at the age of twelve. This is where I think art truly became one of the most important things in my life. My other loves in life include animals (especially cats), a wide range of music genres (think goth music, metal music and whimsical folk music), writing, coffee and collecting trinkets and shiny things like a magpie.
I specialise in oil painting and narrative portraiture, the combination of painting beautiful, romantic people alongside more intense or unromantic story-telling elements. I enjoy researching my projects and adding symbolism and detail within my pieces.
I have completed BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design with triple distinction* - during this, I was exposed to a variety of media and techniques such as: lino and intaglio prints; using bandsaws and sanding machines; melting wax; sculpting clay and wire; building miniatures and exploring design; film and digital photography including using a darkroom; and much more.
My commissions are limited to oil paintings, as most of the other media I use is in an experimental fashion. Please don't hesitate to reach out for any inquiries @ hollymorning@outlook.com
