"Primary School Mural Workshop"
On Friday the 30th of June, a few of us from the BTEC Art and Design and A Level Fine Art were given an incredible opportunity to work with artists in the local area, under the RareKind Studios. Artists involved were able to create hand-painted murals on primary school walls, creating a vibrant and exciting project for us to participate in. My friends and I worked with Lee Kay-Barry, who designed the mural for Petts Hill Primary School. The whole experience was rewarding, as we were able to talk to the primary school children about their interests, and I discovered the advantages of working in a group with like-minded individuals - it was an incredibly positive and welcoming environment and was my first real exposure to a large-scale collaborative project.
